DR RAJ CUP ? MSR HUMBLE ADMISSION ? KANFIDA GOT RS.10 LAKHS

Better late than never! President of Kannada Film Directors Association MS Ramesh has announced in the last ‘Dr Raj Cup’ conducted by directors association earned Rs.10 lakhs for the association and over all expenditure for the event was Rs.78 lakhs in which 20 lakhs was via sponsors. KANFIDA expected at least Rs.75 lakhs from the event. It did not happen.

The reason why MS Ramesh is making it clear on a day before the start of the third season of Dr Raj Cup today at Bagalkot is that – Kannada Film Directors Association, Producers Association and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is not a part of the third season. That is because of the differences of opinion he says.

MS Ramesh wanted the existing differences of opinion to solve first and then take the industry as a whole for this prestigious ‘Dr Raj Cup’. The Dancers Association is in charge of the third season. The holiday that was supposed to be declared for this event has not been declared clearly shows not everything in right direction – MSR just smiles.

The next year he intends to take up ‘Dr Raj Cup’ again with more clarity of thought in everyone.
